Under the No Surprises Act, individuals who do not have health insurance or who choose not to use their health insurance to pay for services have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of care.
If you schedule services at least three business days in advance, or request an estimate before scheduling, you will be provided with a written Good Faith Estimate within the timeframes required by federal law.
Because counseling may involve recurring services, your estimate may include the anticipated frequency and cost of sessions over an expected period of treatment. The estimate is based on information known at the time it is created and may be updated if your treatment needs or anticipated frequency of services change.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than the amount listed on your Good Faith Estimate, you may be eligible to use the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process.
A Good Faith Estimate is not a contract and does not require you to receive services from this practice.
