“I learned the value of a service-oriented heart from my mother.”
Paying Her Legacy Forward
Supporting the next generation.
The Melissa D. White-Coleman Scholarship supports male students of African descent as they begin their educational journey at Columbus State University. It honors students who demonstrate academic commitment, a heart for service, and a desire to create positive social change.
I do not exaggerate when I say that I learned the value of a service-oriented heart at an early age. I witnessed other caring and altruistic individuals, but I learned the true value of helping and caring for others from my beloved mother. Through this scholarship, I aim to pay her legacy forward.
